SemiDrive’s E3 series MCU is a new generation high-performance microcontroller designed for automotive safety applications. The entire product line integrates ARM Cortex R5 and ARM Cortex R52+ CPUs, with up to 4 pairs of lockstep main cores as the highest configuration. The most advanced models feature nearly 5MB of on-chip SRAM and up to 16MB of high-performance embedded storage, meeting the growing demands for computing power and memory in automotive applications.
E3 series MCU integrates a rich set of communication peripheral modules, such as CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, USB, and Gigabit Ethernet TSN, enabling seamless system integration in automotive systems with a cost-effective system BOM. It also features an embedded information security module with a true random number generator, AES, RSA, ECC, SHA, and hardware accelerators compliant with the national cryptography standards SM2/3/4/9. These information security features meet the requirements for secure boot, secure communication, and secure firmware updates, with the product capable of meeting information security requirements exceeding the Full EVITA level.
E3 series MCU’s display products are specially integrated with a 2D GPU, graphics hardware acceleration engine, RGB or LVDS video output, and parallel CSI video input, making them suitable for automotive 2D dashboards, HUDs, electronic rearview mirrors, and other automotive display applications.
The E3 series MCUs have passed ASIL D level functional safety certification, achieving internationally leading safety performance.
